Marvel, by all indications, has a big fan of the soap opera Revenge (2011-2015) in its casting department. Emily VanCamp is already in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) as Sharon Carter, and now it’s the turn of the real Emily Thorne to join the universe of heroes. Actress Margarita Levieva has been cast in Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil’s new series.
According to Deadline, Margarita should appear in the attraction as a possible love interest for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) – to the sadness of Deborah Ann Woll, who wanted to reprise the role of Karen Page, and also who approved the chemistry of the lawyer with Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) in She-Hulk.
For those who don’t remember, Margarita Levieva appeared in 24 episodes of Revenge as Emily Thorne, the young woman who had her identity “borrowed” by Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp). Under a false name, the protagonist infiltrated the high society of the Hamptons with a revenge plan against all those responsible for the arrest of her father, David Clarke (James Tupper).
The actress is on the rise with Disney+ executives: she has also been cast in a role in The Acolyte, a series set in the Star Wars universe. Her character is kept secret. The cast of the production also features Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games), Lee Jung-Jae (Round 6), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Carrie Anne -Moss (The Matrix), Dafne Keen (Logan), Rebecca Henderson (Making Anna) and Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones).
The British Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) and the American Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) also joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again. His characters are kept secret, but the rumor is that the actor plays an ambitious Staten Island man named Liam (the name may be false) and that Sandrine is the love interest of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin (Vincent D’ Onofrio).
With that, the new series moves further and further away from the version of Daredevil shown by Netflix between 2015 and 2018, since in the other attraction the villain was completely in love with Vanessa Marianna-Fisk (Ayelet Zurer), the only person capable of bringing him some humanity.
