With the “Dual” feature, users can record clips with images from the phone’s front and rear cameras simultaneously. The function allows you to take two captures at the same time, which is useful when recording content and reactions. To use it, just select the “Reels Video” option and then click on the camera icon on the side menu.

Instagram allows users to pin up to three posts to the top of the feed to give greater visibility to content, including Reels videos. This way, the posts will be highlighted when someone visits your profile on the social network, and will be the first content to be viewed by third parties.

To pin a post to the top of the feed, tap on your avatar to open your profile, then select the desired Reel. To proceed, go to the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner of the screen and, to complete the procedure, click on “Pin to your profile”.

You can also explore the features of the remix function to improve your Reels and interact with popular videos on the platform. With the function, it is possible to make duets or add your creation to the end of the original clip, following a sequence. To remix an already published video, select the content and tap on the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Then select the “Remix” option and then one of the available options: “With the original video”, which splits the screen and makes your clip appear at the same time as the original video, or “After the original video “, which adds your creation to the end of the original clip.

5. Expanded remix layouts

Remix layouts are also a good way to interact with clips already posted to Reels. With the function, you can set the remixed content to serve as the background for your creation working as a green screen, for example, and you can also do duets with the screen split horizontally, vertically or in picture-in-picture mode.

To do this, just select the original clip and click on the ellipsis icon to select the “Remix” option. On the next screen, tap on the “Layouts” tab and choose one of the four options available to record your content.
