Actor should be the protagonist of the Netflix series directed by Vicente Amorim
At the age of 29, Globo actor is the name quoted to play Ayrton Senna in a series produced by Netflix. According to columnist Patricia Kogut, from the newspaper O Globo, Gabriel Leone is being speculated to give life to the great star of Formula 1.
The new name became the first option after Chay Suede denied the project amid a global contract renewal for the role in “Travessia”:
Directed by Vicente Amorim and produced by Gullane, the series will feature eight episodes produced in partnership with the Senna family. According to Kogut, the plot will start from the driver’s move to England to compete in the F1600, but with passages in places where he lived, like his childhood home in São Paulo.
It is worth remembering that Ayrton Senna died on May 1, 1994, the victim of a fatal accident at the San Marino Grand Prix, at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, in Imola, Italy. The Brazilian driver’s car collided with a concrete barrier in a scene immortalized on national television during the transmission of the race.

With a brief participation in “A Grande Família”, in 2013, Gabriel Leone was cast in “Malhação Casa Cheia” in the same year. After the youth soap opera season, the actor from Rio de Janeiro went through global productions such as “Velho Chico”, “Verdades Secretas” and “Onde Nascem os Fortes”.
On the big screen, he lived none other than King Roberto Carlos in “Minha Fama de Mau”, a biopic by Eramos Carlos. Including, the artist had already embodied the singer in the theater in “Chacrinha, O Musical”.
