After agreeing with coach Renato Paiva, Bahia is officially on the market looking for reinforcements for the year 2023. A name that appears as a possible name for the tricolor squad is the striker Tomás Molina, from LDU.
According to the Teradeportes website, which covers day-to-day football in Ecuador, LDU and Ferro Castil Oeste, the club that owns Molina’s rights, have not reached an agreement for 2023.
In addition, it also informs that Bahia has already made an official proposal to have the 27-year-old center forward from next season.
New tricolor coach, Renato Paiva worked in Ecuadorian football between 2021 and 2022, where he was able to see the center forward’s football up close with the LDU shirt this year.
Molina started his career at Huracán and went through lesser clubs in Argentina, such as Almirante Brown and Brown de Adrogué, between 2018 and 2020.
In 2021, the striker stood out for Ferro Carril Oeste, with 10 goals in 27 games in the Argentine second division, attracting looks from the LDU.
Already for the club from Ecuador, in 2022, he had his best numbers. In 40 matches for the year, he scored 20 goals.
Molina ended the season ranked third in the Ecuadorian League’s top scorer.
