New medical bulletin released this Tuesday (6) by the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein informs that Pelé showed improvement again in your health chart. He has been hospitalized since Tuesday of last week. In an interview given by his daughters to Rede Globo’s “Fantástico” program on Sunday, it was revealed that the star player had to treat a respiratory infection caused by covid-19 a few weeks before hospitalization.
“The patient continues to evolve with progressive improvement in his general condition, especially the respiratory infection. He remains in a common room, with stable vital signs, conscious and without further complications”, says the document.
Pelé received messages of support last Monday during the World Cup games. Players from the Brazilian national team took a banner to the field with the name of the King of Football after qualifying for the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Before, fans in the stands of Stadium 974 presented a flag with their image and the message “Get well soon” (“Stay well soon”, in Portuguese).
In recent days, Pelé has received support and messages of affection around the world. France national team star Kylian Mbappé also urged his fans to root for Pele’s recovery “Pray for the King”, he wrote. Mbappé is one of the highlights of the current Qatar Cup. England striker Harry Kane also took to social media to wish the “King of Football” well.

In 2021, Pelé was diagnosed with colon cancer (gut region) and underwent surgery then in September. Since then, he has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
