Realme GT Neo 5 has leaked battery details with 240W charge support

Realme is known for adopting a very large charging power on its devices, and now it seems that it is close to making significant progress in this regard with models from the future Realme GT Neo 5 series.

Information from the leaker Digital Chat Station indicates the alleged specifications related to the battery and charging support of two different devices that are apparently part of the Realme GT Neo 5 line.

The informant indicated that a device with the identification BLP985 will have two cells of 2,425, which together form a battery with a typical capacity of 5,000 mAh, supporting fast charging of 150 W.

Also, another model, seen as the BLP987, will apparently take a different approach. In this case, the battery capacity will be less, with two cells of 2,225 mAh and a typical final capacity of 4,600 mAh. On the other hand, it would offer a higher charging power, reaching 240 W.

With that, the device should surpass the 200 W found in the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, presented in China a few weeks ago. This would place it as the commercial selling model with the highest charging power.

In addition, some questions begin to arise. For example, will such power bring any practical benefit even greater than that already offered by others that exceed 100 W? It should also be considered whether the possible 240 W could cause any problems for cell phone batteries.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is expected with a main camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, in addition to a chipset MediaTek of the Dimensity 9000 series embedded. There is no scheduled date for the launch of the model.
