Matheus Davó is one of the players who left Bahia at the end of Série B and who are setting a new destination for the year 2023. It is Cruzeiro.
Bahia’s top scorer in the second division, the striker is 23 years old and is not part of Corinthians’ plans, holder of his rights, for next season.
Also back in the elite of national football, Cruzeiro has shown interest in hiring the striker, according to the Goal.com portal.
The negotiation is for the permanent acquisition of the player, who has a contract with the Corinthian team until the end of next year.
During his time at Bahia, he scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 40 games played, in Série B and Copa do Brasil.
If it comes to fruition, the negotiation will be the second between Cruzeiro and Corinthians at the end of the year. Midfielder Matheus Vital is yet another name that is being sold by the São Paulo club to Raposa.
Matheus Davó even refused a proposal from Russian football during Série B to continue the season in Bahia. At the end of the season, he also stressed that he had a desire to continue. However, his destination will be Cruzeiro, which has Ronaldo as the manager of the SAF.
