On Live UOL this wednesday (7), i spoke about the ostentation party, organized by the PT (Workers’ Party), for the inauguration of the elected president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The ceremony, which will be held on January 1, 2023, at the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília, revived the old and traditional crowdfunding of the PT, as the party created a website to raise funds to cover the costs of the festivities.
The goal is to collect donations to pay for the travel of those who want to travel to accompany the ceremony and participate in the celebrations.
The money raised should also help pay for the accommodation structure, security, reception of the public and the setting up of the shows and attractions of the Festival of the Future, as the event is being called —organized so far without confirming the presence of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), which with its lack of definition about the passage of the banner, tests what will be best for its political future.
Donations for the inauguration party – with amounts from R$ 13 – can be made through Pix, credit card or bank slip.
By rescuing the old crowdfunding, the PT confirms once again that, in Brazil, when a politician decides to do something grandiose, it is the citizen who ends up paying. Either by force or by donation.
On Live UOL, we also talked about the elected governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), photographed laughing, in Brasília, next to the president of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), Minister Alexandre de Moraes; and about the arrest of the Bolsonarist businessman, who summoned snipers to Lula’s inauguration.
