WhatsApp releases avatars in the app; see how to create your | Social networks

WhatsApp released today (7) the avatar function, and now it is possible to create your own personalized icon directly in the app for Android and iPhone (iOS). The feature, which has been in testing since November of this year, will be gradually made available to the entire user base over the course of the day. After making the avatar, you can also use it as a profile picture or even as a sticker, in a pack of 36 stickers created automatically by the app. According to Meta, Mark Zuckerberg’s idea is that the novelty works as a “digital version” of each user, following the entrepreneur’s intentions to create a metaverse in his apps.

One of them was the Memojis of the iPhone (iOS), a native feature of Apple’s operating system and which was launched in 2019, with iOS 13.
