Black Adam arrives on HBO Max next Friday


THE HBO Max continues to amaze us with the project FROM THE CINEMA TO YOUR HOME, which releases the best films from Warner Bros. and other major studios within days of its theatrical release. On December 16th, BLACK ADAM, starring Dwayne Johnson, joins the lineup of DC Universe movies available on the platform. The film brings the origin story of DC’s newest unstoppable superhero to life in an action-adventure production. A hero who seeks freedom, truth and justice, but in his own way.

In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was given omnipotent powers by the gods. After using these powers to exact revenge, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man to myth and legend. Now released from his earthly tomb, his unique form of justice, born of rage, is challenged by the modern day heroes that make up the Justice Society: Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

Dwayne Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. BLACK ADAM was created by Bill Parker and CC Beck. and Collet-Serra directs this film from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab No Shirvani, based on DC characters. The film’s producers are Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia, with Walter Hamada, Adam Schlagman, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Chris Pan, Eric McLeod, Geoff Johns and Scott Sheldon serving as executive producers.
