With the end of the year festivities approaching, school holidays starting and Brazil qualified for the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals, there is no shortage of a good program to enjoy the weekend. In the federal capital, the options range from popular concerts, such as the Thiaguinho pagodeiro, to the presentation of Guilherme Arantes, for MPB lovers, in addition to exhibitions and shows to see in the company of the family.

Belo, Buchecha and Thiaguinho
In the spirit of the World Cup, the Vibra Brasil project, located in Bothanic, in the Setor de Clubes Sul, hosts concerts by singers Belo and Buchecha, on Friday (9/12), and Thiaguinho, on Saturday (10/12) . Tickets are on sale on the Ingresse platform. Indicative rating: 18 years.
Sesc-DF will perform at Teatro Sesc Garagem (913 Sul) two shows with one of the most important names in Brazilian popular music, Guilherme Arantes. The presentations will be on Saturday (10/12) and Sunday (11/12), at 20h. After the free tickets sold out for the 10th, an extra lot was opened. To guarantee participation in the event, simply withdraw your Sympla ticket and donate 1 kg of non-perishable food.
In the rhythm of Bahia
The third season of Cafe de La Musique Brazilian Paradise will have programming packed with Bahian rhythms, with shows by Timbalada and singer Xanddy Harmonia, starting at 9 pm.
The group that drags thousands of revelers across Brazil will cheer up the locals with hits like Beija-flor, Mimar Você and Água Mineral. Xanddy will perform hits like Tic Nervoso, Vem baby, Girl breaks and New dance. The line up of the party also includes DJ PH. Sympla Tickets. Event not recommended for children under 18 years old.
The Asa Norte Youth Choir, belonging to the Asa Norte Seventh-day Adventist Church, will perform this Friday (12/9), at 7 pm, at the Auditorium of the National Museum. Admission is free and event classification is free.
On Saturday (10/12), rapper MV Bill will perform at the closing party of the 4th edition of Cufa Empreenda – Turismo e Empregabilidade, at Sesc Newton Rossi. The event starts at 2 pm and also features performances by Sarau Vá, Samba na Comunidade, Rapadura and DJ Janna, in addition to activities with graffiti, a skate park, rhyme battles and break. Viola circle at Clube do Choro
The Roda de Viola Orchestra returns to the stage of the Clube do Choro de Brasília on Saturday (10/12), at 8:30 pm, to present classics from the caipira songbook with authorial and instrumental arrangements. Marcos Mesquita, reference in viola caipira, participates as a guest. Event classification is free. Tickets available on the Digital Ticketing website.
The last Mimosa of the year will be on Saturday (10/12) at the Externa Club, in Setor Comercial Sul, with setlists inspired by the best of Brazilian music. Tickets at Sympla. Event not recommended for people under 18.
And man, what’s it for?
The Company de Comédia G7 presents the show E Homem, Serve Pra Quê? at Teatro La Salle (906 Sul), on Saturday (12/10), at 7 pm. Through fun skits, original live music, dance, improvisation, audience participation and a captivating story, the show talks about important topics in the relationship between two, such as, for example, the double journey that women face in their daily lives.
Tickets can be purchased both on the G7 website and at the theater box office, starting at 5 pm on the 10th. It is possible to get half price with a donation of 1 kg of non-perishable food.
Swimming pool and inflatables
PopHaus, the largest inflatable park in Latin America, arrives in Brasília from December 10th, at Arena BRB Nilson Nelson, and will have a fixed address. There are more than 7,000 square meters with several exclusive toys, in addition to a circuit measuring 135 meters in length in a pool of one million liters.
The novelty, which mixes leisure, adventure and physical activity, will work every day, from 10am to 8pm. More information and tickets on the PopHaus website.
The Company of Comédia G7 presents As Aventuras de Nina e Cidade Avião, on the 10th, at 4 pm, at Teatro La Salle (906 Sul). The children’s show is inspired by the main monuments of Brasília, as well as the capital’s symbol tree, the ipê. There are four actors specialized in children’s theater who take turns in 10 characters with incredible costumes that represent all the fauna of the cerrado. Tickets on the company’s website.
From the 9th to the 11th of December, the Pavilhão do Parque da Cidade welcomes lovers of vintage cars at ExpoCar. In addition to the exhibition, which includes old, classic, customized and trucks, the event will be packed with a lot of rock in roll, with concerts, always at 7 pm, and children’s plays.
On Friday (9/12), the music will be provided by the band Let It Beatles, on Saturday (10/12), by Orquestra Filarmônica de Brasília: Especial de Rock, and on Sunday (11/12) by Banda Zero10.
In the children’s program, the Wizard of Oz shows, on Saturday, at 3 pm, and Alice in Wonderland, on Sunday, also at 3 pm.
Armorial Movement – 50 years
Curated by Denise Mattar and general coordination by Regina Rosa de Godoy, the exhibition Movimento Armorial – 50 anos occupies different galleries at CCBB Brasília until January 15th.
In addition to checking out around 140 works of art by important artists for the Armorial Movement, such as Ariano Suassuna, Francisco Brennand, Gilvan Samico, Aluísio Braga, Zélia Suassuna and Lourdes Magalhaes, the exhibition also offers interactive activities and access to digital content such as a virtual tour of the show and playlist in audio streaming, in addition to accessibility for all audiences. Darcy Ribeiro: a man of ideas, words and action
Until March 2023, people from Brasília will be able to visit the exhibition at the National Library of Brasília. Open from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm; and on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 am to 2 pm, the exhibition brings together excerpts from works by Darcy Ribeiro. Visitation is free and free.
Kombi Nação, the return of the Philosophy Van
Visual artist Paulino Aversa brings back the Kombi that marked generations and places the vehicle as the main theme of the works that make up his new exhibition. The show occupies the Mercato Galeria & Design, in Gilberto Salomão, until December 31st, and is available for free admission from Monday to Friday, from 11am to 7pm, and Saturday, from 10am to 7pm.
