This week happened the People’s Choice Awards 2022, a North American event that rewards the biggest highlights of the year on TV, cinema, music and also on social networks. Thinking about it, the yahoo listed five films that won the ceremony and are worth checking out on streams. Check out:
Directed by Shawn Levy, the film revolves around a time traveler who goes back to 2022 by accident and meets his younger self. Hunted by forces from the future, they become an unlikely duo as they embark on a quest to save the timeline and protect their families.
A sequel to the 1986 film, the feature film sees Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) once again pushing the limits as a test pilot. With 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, he takes on drones in the midst of technology wars and proves that the human factor is still essential.
Directed by Olivia Wilde, the film follows Alice (Florence Pugh), a housewife who lives in an experimental community. Her suburban life seems perfect, until she begins to suspect that the company her husband works for hides disturbing secrets.
After helping the Avengers defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is looking for peace. His plans are interrupted when Gorr, the Butcher of the Gods (Christian Bale), threatens to eliminate all divine beings in search of revenge. To combat this new villain, he has the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman).
The biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann follows decades of the artist’s life, which is lived by Austin Butler. The plot depicts his rise to fame, the singer’s relationship with his controlling manager “Colonel” Tom Parker (Tom Hanks) and Elvis’ loss of innocence over the years as a singer.
