Director of Cruzeiro evaluates the possibility of building Arena Betim

Broken with Mineiro, Cruzeiro opted for Independencia as the official stadium for the 2023 season. with the City Hall of Betim for the partnership in the planned arena in the city.

“I, honestly, in my personal opinion, think it’s a shame that we have to build another stadium in greater Belo Horizonte. It’s a shame”, he began.

“We already have Independencia, the Arena do Atltico Mineiro, Mineiro. Each one will have a stadium, and a stadium will become a concert hall? In the end, it’s all of us who pay that bill”, he criticized .

In the plan, the municipal management undertakes to make feasible the construction of an enterprise of 50,000 thousand square meters, in an area of ​​97,261 thousand square meters. In addition, the city hall will also carry out all the stages of licensing the land and the work, in addition to carrying out any necessary interventions around the stadium.

The company responsible for the construction will also be responsible for carrying out maintenance on site, according to the letter of intent. The total cost of building the stadium is estimated at R$450 million. Cruzeiro, in turn, will not need to invest its own resources.

Betim City Hall also explained that the new arena will be available to the management company (which has not yet been announced) for 310 days a year. Fox would have priority in space exploration for the other 55 days.

The stadium will have capacity for 46,000 people, with the possibility of expanding to up to 50,000 seats.
