The House of the Dragongives HBOhas tens of millions of viewers, but Emilia Clarke is not one of them. Why? “I just can’t,” said the actress to the Variety.
Clarke has become a household name, thanks to her breakout role as Daenerys Targaryen in game of Thronesgives HBO, where he starred for all eight seasons. While, The House of the Dragon is a prequel series, which follows Daenerys’ ancestors, making the story very close to home for her.

“Not! Can you forgive me?” – Clarke said when asked about attending The House of the Dragon. “It’s very weird. I’m so glad this is happening. I’m ecstatic about all the awards…but I just can’t. It is so strange. It’s like someone said, ‘Do you want to go to that school reunion that’s not your year? Do you want to go to that school reunion?’ This is how I feel. So I’m avoiding it.”
Clarke was nominated for four awards for her performance as Daenerys. emmy it’s three Critics’ Choice Awards. The House of the Dragon has also become an awards favorite, recently winning best drama at the Golden Globe. The pilot episode of the prequel series was released to 9.9 million viewers on its first night, attracting the highest audience in the history of the network. HBOat all times.
