Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi said on Thursday the club was in “very good talks” with player Kylian Mbappé, with whom he has recently had a major disagreement over his future.
Al-Khelaifi was asked about Mbappe, who was recently separated from the team due to his refusal to renew his contract and the club’s fears that he might want to leave the team with a letter of liberty at the end of his contract in June 2024. For this reason, the club wants to resume it, and the player prefers to wait for now.
“Kylian is a PSG player. We communicate very well with him. He is a great player as a person and as a professional. We spoke with the rest of his family,” the PSG top leader explained.
As for a possible extension, Al-Khelaifi threw away the balls: “I don’t want to talk about it,” he said after the Champions League group stage draw, in which Luis Enrique Martinez’s team played in the group.
