We have very positive news about Bitelchus 2, Tim Burton’s film starring Jenna Ortega, Michael Keaton, Monica Bellucci, Winona Ryder and Willem Dafoe.
For those unfamiliar with the original 1988 film, it quickly became a cult classic. The plot follows a recently deceased couple who seek the help of an eccentric “bio-exorcist” to get rid of the living tenants who have taken over their old home. Thanks to black humor and unique style, many people asked for a sequel. That is why they are preparing Bitelchus 2, which will feature a brilliant cast led by Jenna Ortega.
Cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos, whose work is instrumental in bringing Tim Burton’s vision to the screen, said that Bitelchus 2’s story will be just as brilliant. Although he did not go into specific details, his words made it clear that the unique essence and charm of the original will be carefully preserved.

“I think that behind all this is the same passion and the same fire. We worked with Neil Scanlan on amazing puppeteers and on-camera effects. And there is only one element in this narrative: it is a natural development. It’s a very, very personal, intimate story for Tim Burton.”
“While he is fantastic, when you look at the explanation between the data and the nuances of everything, you will always find something that goes back to something personal to him. So while it’s a fantasy story, again, at its core, it’s a vibrant and warm family story. This is the story of a family and its development over 30 years.
