At the lighting ceremony of the legislative tower, the president of the H. Congress of the State of Chihuahua, Adriana Terrazas Porras, where she recognized the inequality gaps between men and women, still in force.
He stated that “as long as there is only one woman in a situation of disparity, the challenge of seeking equality remains in force”, this preceded the commemoration of “8M”.
“The headquarters of the Legislative Power of Chihuahua lights up in purple, in recognition of the feminist movement and its fight for our rights throughout the world,” added the deputy.
She explained that the color symbolizes the courage, strength and determination of women in their fight for gender equality, as well as the eradication of violence against the female gender.
“It is a reminder that there is still much to be done to achieve a just and equal society,” Adriana Terrazas concluded.
