This module, located in the emergency area, provides comprehensive psychological care with counseling and assessments to quickly identify problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal behavior and anxiety, and provides emotional support to family members.
According to the coordinator of the mental health module, Tanya Vivanco Valladares, This area provides care for minors between the ages of 12 and 17, who, after diagnosis, are offered an average of five monthly consultations, follow-up and, if necessary, referral to the psychiatric hospital of Dr. José Torres Orozco. from Morelia.
This medical unit provided 348 consultations this year through this comprehensive service, which is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Pre-registration is not required and all minors without social security are catered for.
