
20th Century Studios has confirmed the digital release date for the hit sequel, ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water‘. The film will have its digital release, included on platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV, on March 28, just over three months after its theatrical release on December 16. The premiere will arrive in 4K Ultra HD quality and Dolby Atmos audio, and include three hours of additional content.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first installment, the film tells the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the problems that haunt them, what they have to do to stay safe, the battles who fight to stay alive and the tragedies they suffer.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, CCH Pounder and Sigourney Weaver return for this sequel that now also stars Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and a long list of young actors.
James Cameron directs a film that has grossed a whopping 2,282 million dollars. Let’s remember that three other sequels will arrive later, as of today scheduled for December 20, 2024 (‘avatar 3‘), on December 18, 2026 (‘avatar 4‘) and December 22, 2028 (‘avatar 5‘).
