Edinson Cavani was not called up for the new pre-season friendlies against Valencia.

Edinson Cavani not called up to Valencia will play pre-season friendly matches against Spartak Trnava and St. Gallen this Saturday in Slovakia and next Tuesday in Switzerland respectively.

The Spanish team, which reported this Thursday that the Uruguayan was out of training due to gastroenteritis, released their list of 24 named players this Friday, which does not include the 36-year-old striker.

Already last Tuesday Cavani did not feature in the first pre-season friendly.without adding minutes in a match that the Rubén Baraja-led side won 1-0 against Nottingham Forest at VCF Sports City’s Antonio Puchades Stadium.

Here is Valencia’s squad for these two new friendlies:

Archers: Domenech and C. Rivero.

Protection: Thierry R., G. Paulista, Diakhabi, Gaja, Senck, Fulkier, J. Vasquez, C. Tarrega, R. Iranzo and Diego Moreno.

Midfielders: Musa, Javi Guerra, K. Koba Lane, Pepelu, Javi Navarro, P. Gozalbes and Martin Tejon.

Forwards: Hugo Duro, Diego Lopez, Fran Perez, Hugo Gonzalez and A. Marie.
