The third episode of Secret Invasion hit Disney+ on July 5th and featured an ending that left fans shocked. The show is directed by Ali Selim and written by Kyle Bradstreet and stars Emilia Clarke, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman and Martin Freeman. The plot follows Nick Fury and his allies as they do everything to prevent the Skrulls from invading Earth.

Emily Clarkwho plays Gia, the daughter of Talos in the series, reacted to the third episode in a new video published on the official Twitter account covert invasion. In the clip, the Game of Thrones star (83%) says “it was fast, maybe too fast,” a line you’ll probably only understand if you’ve already seen the ending in question. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly expanding, and to date, the successful superhero franchise consists of 32 feature films and 8 television series. From the first title to the most recent, all the MCU stories that have hit the screen are interconnected, so you would think that in order to see (and understand) the new Marvel works, you had to see each of the studio’s projects.

While the series will be extremely important to the future of the MCU, you don’t need to know much about this universe to understand and enjoy the series. Emily Clark. The 36-year-old actress made the comments during a recent interview with Empire magazine (via Comic):

It’s definitely a fan show, but it’s also a show that my mom, who doesn’t watch Marvel, will watch and understand, you know what I mean? Sometimes you can get into dangerous territory with a genre like this where if you haven’t seen the other 17 movies or series you won’t understand it. It’s not like that at all.

Don Cheadle, best known for his role as James Rhodes/War Machine in the MCU, said in a recent interview. ugh (by using Comic) that the series is more like a 70s spy movie than a Marvel Studios release:

This goes to show how resilient the MCU can be. This one feels a lot closer to a movie like The Bourne Identity, or something more like a ’70s movie. It’s not so much the bells and whistles of big special effects. It’s more about intrigue and drama and espionage and double crosses and I still think it’s perfect for what the MCU is capable of and what it can achieve.
