Jane Fonda has thrown herself against Jennifer Lopez recalling an incident that happened on the set of “Monster-in-Law”. Fonda spoke about it during a recent appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show”.
Fonda explained that JLo accidentally cut off her eyebrow with the engagement ring she wore for one of the scenes in the movie. “What immediately comes to mind is that we have a slapping scene,” said the star of ‘Grace and Frankie’.
“I slap her, she slaps me, I slap her. Well, Jennifer, she had a huge diamond ring, so when she slapped me one of the times, she cut off my eyebrow.” remembered. “And she never apologized.” Fonda added.

Lopez once spoke about the incident in a 2019 YouTube video, according to the New York Postand said that she was filled with fear when it came time to hit Fonda. “I was really scared that I was going to punch Jane Fonda in the face or hurt her in any way, really,” said the singer.

“Her character was a lot like her, and my character at the time was a lot like me. She was so scared of him and she was so brave and she was like, ‘Just hit me. Don’t worry about it, she’s going to be fine,’” added.
In the comedy, Fonda plays an overbearing mother-in-law who does everything in her power to get rid of her son’s (Michael Vartan) future wife (Lopez). J.Lo also explained how the slap scene took on a life of its own in ways they never imagined, as it the two kept hitting each other until one of them finally stopped. Fonda revealed in a 2015 interview on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ how she will always be grateful for the opportunity to star “Monster-in-Law”. “I thought: ‘People will come to the movie to see JLo, Jennifer Lopez, but they will rediscover Fonda’ and that’s what happened”counted.
