In the early 1960s, a serial killer killed more than a dozen women in Boston, and was dubbed the “Boston Strangler” by the media. Now the untold true story of how two reporters broke the story is highlighted in the first trailer for the thriller true crime Boston Strangler.
Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game) plays Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper who makes the first connection to the Boston Strangler murders. When McLaughlin shares her discovery with her boss (Chris Cooper of Adaptation), his reveal is immediately shot down. To continue her investigation, McLaughlin reveals this information to her colleague Jean Cole (Carrie Coon of The Leftovers), who joins her in the search for the truth. Despite facing sexism in the industry, McLaughlin and Cole risked their own lives to find and stop the killer.
