Lady Gaga faces a curious new scandal. The singer of ‘Bad Romance’ is accused by part of a woman involved in the theft of her dogs for not paying her the reward of 500 thousand dollars that she promised to whom to return them.
AND! News identified as Jennifer McBride to the woman who accuses her; she was arrested along with four others for the armed kidnapping of the singer’s French bulldogsnamed Koji and Gustav.
According to a document obtained by the portal, McBride filed a lawsuit against the singer on February 24, in which she demands 500 thousand dollarssum of money that the actress of ‘La Casa Gucci’ had offered to whoever returned her dogs safe and sound.
According to this version, McBride contacted Gaga after the kidnapping and turned the two dogs over to the police. As she expresses it, the singer refused to pay her the reward that she had promised “without asking questions.”
They recover that McBride accuses Gaga of making the promise to pay 500 thousand dollars “with the intent to defraud and mislead members of the public to trust it and act accordingly to the promise by locating and delivering“to their dogs.
Some of McBride’s demands of Gaga go along the lines of “pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life“reports the American media.
The kidnapping of Lady Gaga’s dogs occurred in 2021, when Ryan Fischer, pet sitter, was walking the actress’ three dogs in Los Angeles.
Two of the French bulldogs of Lady Gaga were robbed in an assault where Fischer was shot. The third of them managed to escape on the spot, and was later recovered by the police.
In April, five people were arrested, including on behalf of now-plaintiff McBride, who was accused of being an accessory to the crime. In 2022, she was sentenced to two years probation after failing to contest a charge of receiving stolen property.; the charge was dropped in a plea agreement.
However, not everyone involved got off as unscathed as McBride. Jaylin White was sentenced for second-degree assault to four years in prison, while James Howard Jackson, who shot Fischer, was sentenced to 21 years in jail after failing to deny the attempted murder charge.
