Like every year, MTV will hold another Video Music Awards (VMA) awards ceremony in 2023, where the best music will be awarded. This musical event, which has been the scene of great moments throughout its history, takes place on September 12 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey at 8:00 pm (US time).
There are many artists nominated for this edition, and the names of great Latin American artists appear on the list of nominees in various categories. Leading the way are Colombians Karol G and Shakira, who made a splash with their music and countless hits in 2023.

Karol G: Singer paisa was nominated in the Artist of the Year, Best Artist Collaboration and Best Latin Song categories for “TQG” with Shakira.
Shakira: The Barranquillera nominated in the Artist of the Year, Best Artist Collaboration categories for “TQG” with Shakira. She is also nominated in the Best Latin Song category for “TQG” and “Acrostic”, a song she wrote with her children Sasha and Milan.
Featherweight: The singer corridos tumbados is nominated in the categories “Best New Artist” and “Best Latin Song” for his song “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabón Armado.
Bad Bunny: El Boricua is nominated in the Best Latin Song category for his songs “WHERE SHE GOES” and “un x100to”. He was also nominated in the Video for Good category for the music video for the song “El Apagón”.

Rosalia: Spanish singer nominated in the category “Best Latin Song” for the song “Despechá”.
Maluma: The Colombian singer has been nominated in the Video for the Good category for the music video for his song “La Reina”.
These are all Latin Americans nominated for the Video Music Awards (VMAs). There are also names of artists such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dodja Cat, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, SZA, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and some of the nominees.
