Chetumal. – Under the motto: “For the well-being of you and your family, get vaccinated!”, from September 4 to 8, the Secretariat of Health of Quintana Roo will host an intensive vaccination day for boys and girls in the state capital. teenagers, the elderly and pregnant women.
Minister of Health Flavio Carlos Rosado explained that this medical event will take place from 8:00 to 14:00 at the National Center for Vaccinology, located on Avenida Maksushak, between 4 de Marceau and Miguel Alemán streets in Chetumal.
He asked the public to be aware of official vaccination day announcements in other municipalities.
He explained that doses of SRP (measles, rubella and mumps), Pneumo 13V, Rotavirus, TDPA and Hexavalent (protects minors from diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, Haemophilus influenzae, hepatitis B and polio) will be applied during this vaccination campaign.
The 13-valent pneumococcal pneumococcal vaccine will be given to older people aged 60 and over.
Pregnant women from the 20th week of pregnancy are given the TDAP vaccine (it helps protect against tetanus and diphtheria, as well as whooping cough).
It is recommended that you carry your vaccination card with you so that medical staff can review this document and check which dose and type of vaccine is missing.
