Metlatonock, Gros, August 17, 2023 – Specialized Mobile Medical Units from the State Government Minister of Health have arrived in Metlatonock, where the community and its communities will be able to access services offered to enhance health care. in the most marginalized areas of the state.
This municipality has 18,976 residents, 98% of which are indigenous and belong to the Mixtec and Me Phaa ethnic group, in addition to 94.7% of the total population living in poverty and extreme poverty.
That is why, from August 17 to September 1, there will be medical units in the Montaña de Guerrero region providing free general medical consultations for pregnant women and people with acute respiratory infections, high blood pressure, diabetes and other diseases.
In addition, clinical and laboratory services, dental consultations, heel densitometry, electrocardiograms, pelvic and obstetric ultrasound, mammography, chest x-ray, audiometry, optometry, psychological consultations, pediculosis prevention and drug delivery will be provided.
These actions are part of actions promoted by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda through 24 specialized medical units that have reached 81 municipalities with medical care for more than 983,000 people in highly marginalized communities without access to any form of social security. .
