During his appearance at the Middle East Film & Comic Con, actor David Harbor, who plays Jim Hopper in fiction, assured that he has been preparing for filming that will begin in mid-2023.

“We are entering the fifth season. I have a couple more months to train. We start filming in June and that will be the last season.”he assured in said event.

When will “Stranger Things 5” be released?

Taking into consideration that the fifth season will start filming only in June of this 2023; the public will have to wait until at least 2024. There is still no confirmed date from the “Stranger Things” team. Although, it was confirmed that the public will be able to enjoy eight chapters for this next season.

Series creator Ross Duffer confirmed the news, telling TV Line that “Ideally, we would have filmed seasons 4 and 5 back-to-back, but there was just no feasible way to do it”.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the new installment will be set in Hawkins and in the Upside Down World. “Season 5 is about everyone finally coming back. They get back together, they go back to Hawkins. Hopper is back in Hawkins. The original group is back together. There’s something interesting about re-exploring some of the dynamics of the first season, but on a larger scale.” Matt Duffer added to said medium.
