Stranger Things will have fans waiting a long time to see season 5, the latest of the Netflix series. Many are likely excited to see how the story will end, but no one like Millie Bobby Brown, who has a lot of work ahead of her.
stranger things premiered in Netflix in July 2016. The story began to follow a group of children dealing with a series of bizarre occurrences including disappearances and mysterious murders that keep the town where they live in turmoil. They soon discover a shy girl named Once (Millie Bobby Brown), who is lost in the middle of the woods after escaping from the sinister Hawkins Laboratory, where she was serving as a piece of evidence for the United States government.
The hit fiction, suspense and horror drama has kept millions of fans hooked with the stories of each season. The longest installment was the fourth, which was divided into two parts with a total of nine episodes that began streaming on Netflix on May 28 of last year and then closed with the remaining two chapters on July 1.
Almost seven years have passed since Stranger Things hit the screen and while many believed they could soon see season 5, the news is that filming will begin between spring and next summer for the final episodes of the Netflix series. Which means a premiere could drop on the streaming platform sometime in 2024 or early 2025.
It must be clear that the release date of season 5 of Stranger Things will depend on how production progresses. Let’s remember that the latest installment of the show will be similar to the previous season, with a total of eight episodes or so and mostly full-length with an immense load of special effects, which implies a long period dedicated to post-production.
There is no denying that there is a lot of enthusiasm on the part of the fans to see how the story of Stranger Things closes, after the chaotic events of season 4. A delivery that ended with several deaths to its credit. So while it will take roughly two years to see the final chapter of this story, things are a little different for the cast members, who return to the set between May and August. In a new interview with Seventeen, Millie Bobby Brown admitted that she is ready to wrap up season 5 to pursue other projects.
“I am definitely ready to finish. I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know it, it’s been in our lives for a long time. But I am very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones.
Millie Bobby Brown isn’t the only cast to feel this way. There’s probably a real feeling across the board that a lot of people are ready to move on to other things, even if they love this world and will cherish these memories. This is how the young cast grew, and of course there will be plenty of reunions and more bonding opportunities in the years to come.
