The ‘underwear’ or ‘no pants’ trend will be the star next season, according to streetstyle and the catwalks

In recent days we have been able to see how influencers, celebrities and great faces from the world of fashion, whose profiles are full of our likes, have dazzled the front row with outfits that have left us speechless. Whether with suits, skirts, jeans or stockings, their sharing has been the ‘underwear’ or ‘no pants’ trend.

But what is this trend that has surprised us?

Already in the previous editions of the Fashion Weeks presenting the SS23 collection, many stars dazzled us by showing underpants or without pants in their day-to-day looks. For example, at the Loewe show in the previous edition, Kylie Jenner wore white underwear, black stockings and heels, combined with a long gray coat.

This new trend has been dubbed ‘underwear’ for showing our underwear my fear or ‘no pants’ for freeing us from pants and leaving our legs uncovered.

And it is that they have already been warning us through the American streets. As is the case with Hailey Bieber, who has endorsed this trend because she does not stop wearing it. Or why not, Kylie Jenner. Both always wear it with black stockings and focusing attention on the shoes.

Is that the key to looking like a real it girl? It is one of them. If we look closely, they focus their eyes on the footwear, we can wear it with loafers with white socks, UGG boots or heels in black or another color. But the key is also to wear a long jacket or coat that reaches at least to the thigh, so that the oversize style shines at all times.

However, the guests at the front row at Milan Fashion Week gave us other ideas to wear them.

Chiara Ferragni at the Gucci show, showed us how a masculine suit could be worn with a groundbreaking touch but at the same time exceptional. Eyes were not only directed at the masculine touch of the tie, but also at the boxers with the firm’s logomania and the pants, joined by a soft strap up to the belt that made it something stunning. In addition, as we have mentioned before, her black heels finished in pointed toes finished off the elegance of the suit and her gray jacket closed a complete combination.

Another influencer was seen by Prada with a black bodysuit with French sleeves, black stockings and black pointed-toe heels. This time, she wasn’t wearing a jacket, but retro-futuristic sunglasses and a long, ankle-length white coat.

Now the question is, what do the catwalks say about it?

On the Parisian catwalk, a tribute to Vivienne Westwood took place, in fact it was her husband who designed this collection dedicated entirely to the artist who died in December 2022. Its 68 pieces were dedicated to her long and distinguished career. In which we also saw the ‘no pants’ trend. In fact, the designer’s granddaughter, Cora Corré, was in charge of closing the show with a white dress with a boat neckline that left her legs exposed and she wore it with white boots. One last tribute to the designer, as she also gave her valedictory speech at her funeral.

If the catwalks and streetstyle say so, it is a guaranteed trend for the following season. Looking for combinations and getting out of our way of comfort will be the most fun to find the perfect look to wear this trend. Do we dare?
