Police are investigating the theft of materials from the set of Beetlejuice 2, including a sculpture weighing nearly 70kg.
We’ve had a streak of robberies on film sets over the last couple of years that never seems to end. “Beetlejuice 2” added to the list of films whose film sets were looted.
Last year, Netflix series such as The Crown and Lupine were hit by isolated thefts of material that included copies of valuable items that, although not as valuable as the original items, were worth more than several tens of thousands of euros.

Last week, Vermont State Police shared a post on Twitter reporting a robbery on the set of Beetlejuice 2.
The 150-pound (68-kilogram) sculpture was removed from the grounds, along with a lamppost decorated with Halloween pumpkins.
“We tried three times to say the name of this stolen statue, but it didn’t sound! We are investigating the theft of this 150-pound sculpture from the set of Beetlejuice 2 in East Corinth, as well as a lamppost adorned with pumpkin decorations.“.
Police are asking citizens to help find decorative pieces for a Tim Burton film that joins a list of productions whose filming has been looted by thieves.
A sculpture like the one taken from the Beetlejuice 2 set is unlikely to reappear, at least in an environment where authorities can easily find it. While there were people who thought they would steal the pulpit from the Capitol when they stormed it to sell it later on the Internet, it was a smart idea. You never know.
