Actor Haley Joel Osment (37), known for his child role in the movie ‘The Sixth Sense’ (1999), was recently arrested on charges of being drunk and causing a disturbance and possessing drugs, CNN and People magazine reported on the 18th (local time).
According to local police, Osment was arrested last week in the parking lot of a resort in Mammoth Lakes, California.
Police said they responded to a report that he was out of control and arrested him on charges of public intoxication and possession of illegal drugs.
Prosecutors later indicted him on charges including possession of cocaine.
He also became the subject of gossip after it was reported that he uttered inappropriate profanity while being arrested by the police.
Police bodycam footage released online shows him yelling “Nazi” and anti-Semitic slurs at officers.
“I deeply apologize to everyone I have hurt by my actions,” he said in a statement to People magazine the previous day. “I will work to atone for this terrible mistake.”
“The loss of my home and the loss of my family over the past few months have left me in a very low mood,” she said, adding, “But that’s no excuse.”
He previously appeared on a podcast and revealed that he lost his home in the massive wildfires that swept through the Altadena area of Los Angeles in January and has been staying with his sister since.
Osment first became widely known at the age of 10 when he starred in the international hit film “The Sixth Sense” with Bruce Willis, and has continued to work as an actor ever since. His recent appearances include the film “Blink Twice” released last year and the TV drama series “Poker Face.”
